• 2 Stroke Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Italy - About 1989 to 2014
    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
AA Class
Bought on ebay for 99p (really), thought I could maybe use the forks on another project.

Intrigued by exactly what I've got here are some pictures:

Advertised just as Husky 2 stroke, has Husqvarna on the clutch case and Cagiva on the flywheel cover. Has a steering lock on the headstock, enduro model ?

Mines a 91...the vin looks way different on yours though. My guess would be 88 89 or 90 wxe...the swing arm, cagiva flywheel cover make it look that way

probally 90. i rode for cagiva the forks wp red adj unless changed early years bk wp.my dauther found pict of me testing 88/89 cagivas. maybe 91, i will post pictures later.

the kicker is a bit different than the 91 i have laying around...im with 89 or 90...still pure cagiva...91 had the one year only redesign

Looks like a 1990, we never saw the 1989 models in the US.
Am in UK and think this is a UK bike. I borrowed an '89 250 MX Cagiva way back when for an enduro. It was branded as a Cagiva rather than Husqvarna, but this particular one has Husqvarna on the clutch case so I got thinking maybe it was a '90 ? When did Cagiva switch the branding on the two strokes ? I have a '89 fourstrokes made in Italy but always branded as Husky.

the two strokes were Cagiva made into Husky, the four strokes were always Husky not Cagiva

Thanks I guess the part I don't know is when the two strokes switched from Cagiva branding to Husqvarna. In UK I'm pretty sure that in 89 you would have bought a Cagiva two stroke and at some point in the early nineties the marketing guys switched the two strokes to Husky branding. My question is when ?

in 88 you had true swedes and im pretty sure that was the last year for cagiva branded bikes as well...in 89-90 everything was husqvarna branded. i had a wmx250 88 that was the last cagiva...it had no husky branding...

hello mate I have a 89 wrk 250 which has Husqvarna on 1 cover an cagiva on the other the swinging arm an many other parts are badged as cagiva .mine has drum on rear .according to frame no my was 12th off the production line .so reckon yours was prob late 89 or early 90 .

Thanks that's just the info I was looking for. I quite expect bits will be difficult to locate, so any help with parts sources gratefully received. Think I will need quite a few, lots missing and what's left 'aint great. Would much appreciate any pictures you have of your WRK 250, will help with trawling though ebay esp. for body work.

Hi mate
if you are looking for pictures of the bike go on google images and you can get some pretty good images .Even of my bike from when it was on ebay .At the moment it`s stripped down to replace head gasket and possible clutch so wouldn't make good photo at moment .I have spoken to husky sport and I think getting parts may be interesting .when I have it reassembled I will upload photos for you no probs .
