    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

All 2st 250/360 engine into 2006 cr125 frame?

Random swap question:

Does the 250/300/360 engine fit into the cr/wr 125 chassis from 2006? I know the last of the 125s used a unique chassis, but what about the 2nd to last gen -- whatever people call those? Is it a bolt in or a no go?

There is that. Can that be overcome with a 250/300 swingarm? I saw the subframe is the same between them, and I think the pivot bolt. Is there a spot for a chain roller on the opposite side? Is there something (the frame) in the way?

I'm in the middle of replacing a cracked frame on a Yamaha mx360 that has a 400 swap. I guess frame and engine swaps are on my mind, and I started wondering what frames are available for swaps in husky land.

might need to use the engine mounts and head stay mounts from a 360 frame
 
I am not in need of a frame at the moment, but I have noticed that late model 250/300 frames don't pop up much, and when they do, they are more money than I think they should be. '94 era frames are everywhere, but they use the old radiators and goofy discontinued hoses. I guess when this bike is as old as the '73 yamaha and the frame snaps, I'll settle for one of the '94 frames for $79.99 shipped. The 360 probably won't ever be my main bike again, but I doubt I could bring myself to part with her.
 
Hmmm, maybe! All of my pieces are for the 94 frame or the last gen frame. '95 (if I remember right) went to the updated radiators, right? If my '94 tank will go straight on, that would be sweet. I don't need it, but yes, interested. Let me know what you want for it shipped to 77316.
 
Everyone says FedEx is cheapest on odd shaped stuff. If you let me know dimensions, I can also email you a shipping label if we can agree on a price. PM me what you want to get along with your zip, and I'll get a ballpark price guessing dimensions and let you know if it is worth it. By the time you get what you need for it + shipping, it might be too much $. Shipping screws up many deals.

If I do pick up a frame, I'll want to be able to use my current radiators and guards. I'm running '00 and later pieces now. Does the 95-99 radiator use the same mounting pattern as the later radiators? I see '95 is the first year to do away with the stupid '94 hose configuration, but I'm not sure what else changed on the radiators.

I quite like the look of the 98-99 bikes, and DC makes plastics for them. Of course '00 gen stuff is much more plentiful used.

Is the '94 seat the same as the '98? Subframe is the same...I think.

Wonder if I could basically build a '94 look on a '95 frame with '00 rads. I would then only need to buy new plastics. cheapest option by far if things bolt up to frame

Or get '98 plastics, but I think I would need a different tank and possibly seat and the radiators still might not bolt up to frame

So the first question is: does 95-99 radiator use -'94 or '00+ bolt pattern?
