• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2016 Betas get electronic oil injection.

I think Beta needs to send me one for race testing. I'll happily campaign it for the 2016 D37 desert season free of charge. I'll provide detailed reports and be happy to provide updates here and on the Beta forum.

I am a believer in the positives of oil injection on 2t's. I have only had two 2t's in my life though. Kawasaki 175's. A KE and a pre KE F7, both with oil injection. The only time the I had a problem with either of them is when I forgot to fill the oil tank on the F7 and seized it. (I was like 12 ok  ) Needless to say, if I ever did get another 2t I would not want to mix fuel for the thing. Cheers to oil injection imo.

I'd prefer direct injection that injected the oil with the same pump as the fuel. That way if it quit injecting oil the fuel would quit too. The only oil injected 2t bike I owned for a long period of time (about a year) failed due to the injector pump not pumping oil. I did own a 50cc Yamaha scooter for about a month with oil injection but I ran it on VP110 with Ammsoil and believe it or not one day I looked down and the oil injection line had fallen off... maybe oil injection doesn't like me.

id go the race version too but money may not permit it

Just pull it off. Looks like a fitting in the manifold so cap that or change the manifold. I doubt this system is integrated to the engine with a lot of special parts, being the Race model is clean it wouldn't make sense in the production #s to do so.

correct... but i have to say after a fork revalve its the best bike ive ridden in years....

but looking forward to a change of bikes...Im the type that dont like the same bike as everyone else....

Jason Thomas rode a 350 beta and was amazed.....

Im ready to heal my leg and go ride....
