• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi all

Just joined the forum.
Had many dirtbikes over the years, after running 300excs for the last ten years I thought I'd try the 2015 TE300 Husky this year and it should be here on Monday. Can't wait.
Got some factory ice one graphics all ready waiting it for it too.

Can't wait to get racing now.

welcome! and nice Hypermotard! been looking at one for a while but i just refused to pay full MSRP :)

Welcome, alot of us are ready to jump and buy one so let's have some photos and a report. Swimming pool party photos help alot. LOL. I'm dying to get one myself for Unadilla.

Nice! That should be one sweet ass bike.

indicators and mirrors? Where are you located? Is it street legal where you are?

I'm in the Uk.
As long as the switch gear is removed for the indicators it's ok.

The law is quite strange tbh, basically I could legally use a bike with only a rear brake light and a number plate although I'd expect to get stopped by the police pretty regular.

Quick update

Done 3.5 hrs on it now
Did an hour of local trails to run it it to start and first impressions were very good.
I was surprised how good the 4cs forks were and the rear linkage is excellent especially when braking on bumpy terrain, it doesn't hop as much like the PDS on my previous ktms.

Been to the local mx track today. It was a husky test day with a full range of models to demo.
Loved the 350 and the 250 2t but I have to say, my 300 did everything I asked of it. I firmed up the forks and the bike was spot on all day.

Bit of enduro riding next Sunday :)

Welcome and congrats on the new bike. I am loving my 4cs forks as well. They soak up rocks like a sponge. Best I've had the pleasure to use.

A street legal two stroke count me in.

I had a 98 husqvarna 250wr that was street legal the bike was a blast being out at night.

Great vid mate & glad to see you loving the TE300 !

Can't get over how big your UK number plates are ! they must get smashed all the time !

Street legal TE300 in Australia too, i ride mine down the road through traffic lights & everything for 10 mins to get to local trails, does feel weird sitting among traffic with the 2 stroke ding ding ding & smoke haha !!

Yeah the legal plates are a bit big and we get through quite a few when the rear tyre grabs them.
There must be some great trails in Australia? Great to be so close to the tracks I'll bet!

Still loving this bike and I've just pre ordered the 17 TE 300, hopefully here early/mid July :)
