• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

This is for all the haters out there since BMW took over. Look at the BMW like body work. Horrendous.

Be careful what you wish for! I hear that Ze Germans have a bunch of parts left over from this little beauty...

Sling some knobblies on it. Job done.

... and the fork! BMW somehow thinks people would pay 9k for crappy forks. If I didn't think this is a joke I'd be weeping now.

Looks 'chunky'. A model 3 years from release should look sleek, futuristic. You'd think there's some hidden technology behind that ugly plastic.
That's probably the new Husky-Boy kids bike.

Hey, quit pickin guys...I bet some poor guy is really proud of all the bikes he was able to steal parts off of to get it to look like....that.

You think his neighbors have any idea where their plastic bits keep going to?

I hear the next 450 is to be a larger version or take of the current 250/310 donk. That might be a good thing

Next time maybe try some stoppies and see if you can do a 360 front flip! A seat belt (or velcro breeches) might not be a bad idea. :)
it does have a seat-belt. that's why you don't need to wear a helmet (in germany, at least).
(c1 riders are the worst/craziest two-wheel pilots ever, bytheway)

Oh man. a bike with a seat belt. That is depressing.

If Volvo ever decided to make one it'd probably have a roof rack. And a towbar.*

* Cultural note: Motorcyclists of a certain age in the UK like to rag on Volvo drivers a little because the indestructability of their cars seemed to interfere with their sense of direction and spatial awareness...
