• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2015 North East Husky Gathering

Things are coming together. We have a date and we'll be doing it together with an AHRMA NE race weekend. Joe will fill in the details soon!

OK 9th Annual North Eat Husky Gathering info.

When: 9-11 October 2015. Friday is a get there/settle in/relax day. Not much riding.

Where: 2754 South Cortland Virgil Rd. 13045-8988. This is the Logan Farm proper, on the east side of the road. The farm road up to event location, is on west side about a tenth of a mile south. It will be arrowed and ribboned. We will have plenty of arrows up as you get close and also we will have signs in braille for some of us real old guys

Who: Any Husky and buddies on non husky are ok as long as there is a husky "sponsor" so to speak. We love our Huskys but it is all about the fun. All years vintage is ok too (in honor of the firece competition given to Husqvarna during the "glory Years" that are soon coming back

Cost: "Husqvarna-care" is in effect. What is "Husqvarna-care"? Registration goes back to 2007 inaugural fee of $40!

What: As usuual, all about the fun. There is open riding and we may do some skill tests with awards/prizes. This year North East Huskys will be sponsoring its 2nd AHRMA MX/CC race the same weekend. The vintage XC race is Saturday morning and we will have a special “Non AHRMA Husky class” for those that want to race in it. Those that just want to trail ride can as well. Same on Sunday for MX (more race details at the event)

As Norm said we will piggyback with an AHRMA race weekend but it is a AHRMA race that "North East Husky" promotes so we are calling most of the calls. XC course will be in use for the old bikes for hour and a half on saturday and the MX course will be used for most of Sunday. Leaves alot of terrain to use on both days. We also will have a 1 moto event on Sunday that is for the coveted Husky cup (it is actually a lamp). A 1 moto race that must be done on a Husky....any year husky. vintage bikes start on firts gate drop and then non vintage right after. Wanted to see an all husky race as have not since enduros in the early 80's!

im a newbie.. can someone fill me on what kind of race this is? endure? an is there a website i can register and see more details on? thanks fellas

North East Husky Riders, is an AMA Off Road Club. Our main event is....The North East Husky Gathering, which is a fun trail riding/camping weekend for Husky Enthusiasts. It is open to any Husky rider and they may bring a guest on a non Husky bike. It is also open to Vintage riders of any brand. Most years, it's a stand alone event, but have run it in together with another club's enduro in the past.

We've always run it, as a fundraiser. In the past we've helped: Husky/non Husky riders with health problems, their family members, Husky mounted ISDE riders and more. Good things happen, when Husky Riders get together!

The North East Husky Riders promoted an AHRMA NE Vintage/Post Vintage MX and XC race last year, with great success. This was MX on our 1 mile, old fashioned, off camber scrambles track, with no jumps and XC on our up to 6 mile woods loop. This year, we've decided to combine the two events, for even more fun. AHRMA racing will only be open for AHRMA Members, with class legal bikes. As Joe mentioned.... We will have the Husky Cup MX Race, open to all Husky riders at the Gathering.

We no longer maintain a website, due to costs, but have a FB page.
