As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Oh I hear ya. But just can't get along with four strokes and for sure 27hp ones. That weigh around 250. I like the brap brap of a two stroke I have nothing against and ajp and contemplated on buying one to bash around on but my current spare bike a 2013,wr250r Yamaha with full FMF exhaust programmer etc.. .just plain sucks unless you ride it realizing what it is. A 31hp tied heavier then a gas gas....but does have a license plate.....its getting sold....not sure the ajp will catch on in the states or not but certainly I would like to do a 25 mile loop on one....You should try the AJP of you get a chance. It is not a powerhouse, but you would be amazed how fast you can go on it.....with VERY LITTLE Effort.

My question has been answered today.... I got to ride a '14 FC250. It had way more bottom end, than I thought a MX 250F should, felt slim and handled well. I realized that I'm really a 2T guy though! I've had the same feeling going from my '09 WR125, to a '10 TXC250. The engine braking and extra rotational mass, are too much for me. I'm sure I could learn to ride it and love it over time, but 2T's just fit me better.

Now go try a KXF250, has twice the bottom and feels like 450 in comparison.
Different strokes for different folks! After having my FC250, I'd only ride a 2 stroke if I was injured and it was the only bike available to get me to the truck..![]()
Ha ha I'm going to huntersville this weekend letme know if your riding we can switch bikes and school each other on why four strokes and two strokes suck....lol. Been out there last couple a weekends pm me and let me know what's up...…..but you should know two strokes rule.... And I take back what I said.....this engine is good or better then my tm. Sweet sweet power......tc 250..
