  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 2013 wr125 help please..

Hi all, new here so please go easy

Just picked up a new wr125, 1st 2 stroke bike and 1st bike in 20 odd years, so a little behinds the times i'm afraid.
I'm looking to put a new pipe and silencer, the FMF Fatty and powercore2, does the 2012 model fit right up?
also looking into the lectron carb but which is better 36 or 38?

its hard to find parts down here in Aus to fit husky's so most i think will have to come from the USA.

thanks for the help

The FMF pipe works very good on this bike. Yes 2012 model pipe should fit fine. 36/ or 38 both work fine on the Lectrons. PM me if you want one, do international shipping all the time.

What's the difference between the 36 and 38. If I was wanting to upgrade to the 144/165 at a later date, does it make a difference?

I have the 36 on my 2013 works great from bottom to top. I haven't had a 38 so I can't speak for that.

Most parts from 2009 and up CR/WR are identical except for suspension . I have been running a 165 kit for about 2 months in Australia now and the results are amazing . I have been riding 125/144 for the last 7 years and the 165 is the way to go and is the best value for money power upgrade (haven't tried the lectron yet but that is on the wish list) . My advice would be to hold off on the pipe if you are thinking of a 165 as you need the FMF pipe to go with it and just get the power core 2 muffler as you can use it with any engine capacity. Where about in aust are you?
