  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 txc310r exhuast question

Hello ladies and gents. I just recently got a 'red head' txc310 and love the damn thing! I am coming off a 2011 kx250f that was made into a woods machine. my question is "do aftermarket exhausts help that much?" I have used the search function and read that people have noticed a difference from stock to exhaust and tuned. but my bike has already been "uncorked" and has the 2 map tuner thingy. it runs great just leave a little more to be desired in the upper mid and top rpm range. secondly, can a leo vince off a 2010 txc250 fit my 13 310? thank you for any help in advance!

You can remove the center baffle from your oem silencer and add a powercommander5. This is the least expensive option for roughly the same amount of hp gain. Is your oem ecu reflashed to the leovince map?

I am not 100% as to what I am running tuning wise. but I have already removed the baffle, and the pro circuit HC piston was just done before i got the bike. the previous owner did well to set the bike up and do all the little fixes. I don't give a damn about the sound, I just didn't know if it was worth 2-300$ for a slip on.

The muffler from a TC/TE/TXC 250 will fit your 310. The head pipe may or may not, they're both X-Lites but have slightly different frames.

With just a muffler change the main thing you'll get is a weight loss. If that's all you're going to do, just gut the can as Tinken mentioned above. With the Leo or Arrow full systems, your "butt dyno" will notice better/smoother pull from the bottom of the midrange through the high range with a smoother hit when it comes on. At least, that's where I noticed the difference when I put the Arrow ti system on my 250.
