• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

2013 TXC310 stalling

I raced HDMR on my 2012 tc250 and stalled it 3 times. Usually takes 3 to 5 kicks to get it restarted which I think is about right for a 4 stroke. I think going from a 4 stroke to a 2 stroke its going to take a while to figure it out.

Yeah .... HMDR, I actually did raise the idle a good bit before the race .... It seemed to stall when opening the throttle from idle .... It even stalled going downhill !!! It stalled ten feet from the finish just rolling into the "cattle chute" and I had to crank the starter for about 15-20 seconds for it to re-fire. ... I still have my WR250 ..... I would have placed a helluva lot better had I taken that ! .... Next time.... I think the 4st is going on the auction block ....

I still have a lot of 2-stroke habits to break. I really tried to stay off the clutch and rear brake and just use the motor. I know what you mean though, I was pretty frustrated after the RORR HS. Wishing for My WR. What class did you ride? Saw a few Huskies in the woods.

I ride Sr B ..... Lou Grisko is the name ....... had a horrific day at RORR too !!! ..... stalled on the last lap there and I had to let it cool down for like 10 min to restart .....

I rode in the morning B SSR #189 - I don't have any starting problems hot or cold. I crashed pretty hard on Sunday and the bike was actually still running! Idle set around 2K - Different FI though.
