  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 ama Husqvarna dualsport series from coast to coast, rode the Prescott az round, sunday got a call from ama and im that ass that won the bike giveaway, im a advanced technical rider, and need to get this setup, all ive seen are pipe and mapping mods, definitely going to need a skid plate, which is best, I got lots of rock around here. ive known ty davis locally, and his husky background, is he producing any parts? id appreciate some insight towards quality brand upgrades I might need for protection and performance, thanks!

Congratulation and yes Tys shop has parts and knowledge. Check out the Zip-Ty section of the forum and look for posts by Tinken. The 511 is an outstanding bike, but there are a couple of setup tricks you should do.

Go to the 4 stroke forum and you will find a 449/511 guide stickied

That should get you started.

That's really cool. The last guy that won just wanted to know how much he could sell it for lol. Throw a few bucks at it and you'll love it. I'd check with Motosportz, 7602, and Zip-Ty. They each have their own forums here too towards the bottom of the main page. Congrats!

ill give it a shot, im on the other side of the freeway waiting for the bridge completion, nice to have a source of parts close by, Im waiting for the bike delivery, ill shoot by on the break in run

Congratulations on the prize bike:applause: I agree on the plastic skid plate too since it will give better overall protection. Hyde racing has one and maybe others.
