  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 TE310R---What a great bike

NYCMX

Husqvarna
AA Class
A few weeks ago I bought 2 Te310R's and I can't say enough about what a fun bike this is.The extra bike I bought for my brother who hasnt ridden since his 1978 YZ125, Im sure it's just sitting in his garage after he rode it once fell off a bridge and ended up in a stream. But thats another story.Since then I put 150 miles on his bike and had it powered up and changed his oil.
In the mean time I have been ripping around all over Long Island on mine for the last 3 days pretty much non-stop. Currently has about 200 miles on it and seems to be running better and better as the miles add up.
This afternoon I ended up at a car show in Bellmore and the bike attracts lots of attention. I was surprised at how many people didn't know Husqvarna made Motorcycles. So riding around on the street is great publicity for the brand.
Anyway im just rambling, but just wanted to say that this bike is great and I can't wait for tomorrow and Sunday at the track should be epic. Best money I spent in a long time.
BTW I originally was considering a 449 or 511 but think the design was kinda weird. Then I was trying to find an old school 510,with the real husky motor on it, which are hard to find bran new. Then considered a leftover 250 or 310 because they seem so reasonably priced. Then concluded that the 2013 was worth the extra money. im very happy with deciding on the 310R and I think KTM would be foolish to discontinue this model as rumor has it.

I didnt notice I had 1. I didn't play with the gauges yet except to change it from Km's to MPH.

Browsing my owners manual--page 13 #5 states >Hour counter: to activate push the scroll button and hold for more then 3 seconds...DATA WILL BE LOST AFTER DISCONNECTING BATTERY. So yes it works, Just serves no useful purpose for me as I disconnect my battery and charge it on a regular basis.
