  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 TE310R Velocity stack

Boogie

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Test rode, back to back, a Husaberg FE350 and TE310R... One had more fun factor than the other so I picked up the new husky last week.

The dealer de-restricted the bike and the velocity stack (red trumpet in air intake) was in the box of bits and not installed on the bike.

What do you guys think?

Is this a performance item or just a fancy restrictor?

mine has a tc air box - must be a 2012 tc box
I thought this stack must be the main part of the tc power upgrade as air box Iooks similar
Looks cool too

do you have a pic (red trumpet in air intake) the end of it has a bunch of little holes in it ,I don't see how
that set up will let the te 310 r breath .other than to pass emissions

The 2013 TE310R comes with a restricted trumpet fitted (the one with the small holes in the end) and a full power version in the build box which comes with the bike. The dealer should replace the restricted one with the full power one when doing the power up so if you've got the one with small holes in then all is OK. If you've got the fully open one then it needs changing.

Interresting.... No stack in my parts bag so maybe USA owners need to purchase the de-restricted stack. Dealer did swap the filter holder for the unrestricted one. All the intake stuff probably helps pass the noise limits re: intake drone as well as stealing some performance.

^^^ What he said. I apologize if I offered incorrect advice earlier, I assumed it was no stack versus adding a stack which would increase performance. :o

Or your dealer threw the restricted one away? It's of no use...

.is there a .02 senser deletor the same as the 2011 power up kit
because my 2013 te .has no balls at all

No resistor required, full power is achieved with software reflash of ECU plus the removal of exhaust cat and airbox trumpet. This is for EU bikes, US may be slightly different. Need to confirm with your dealer what they have done.

what do you do with the 02 sensor in the head pipe ,my local dealer here hasn't a clue on what to do
lets say that you want the put on a 2012 tc250 full exhaust
thanks kim

All good... It's not in the bike yet.
Mine is the restricted one with many little holes, so makes sense for the dealer to remove. There isn't a full power version in the box or bike.
I could:
1. Leave the bike the way it is (no velocity stack)
2. Modify the restricted one to open it up fully and install.

The bike rips now, but I might install just for some internal bling and maybe a power gain.

Question: would the stack help more in high or low RPM?

Will post pics when I get a chance.

My dealer took the restrictor plate out and cut the center portion out creating a 100% pass thru. Maybe they don't send the unrestricted component to US bike but he took care of it for me. Bike runs great.

Just take it out and disconnect, once the software is updated the O2 sensor isn't required.

Dave

FYI. Here's the bits removed: DB Killer, O2 sensor and velocity stack.
