  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Powercommander V Help
Wanting to buy powercommander V for my 2013 Husqvarna Te310R.
Dyno Jet does not sell or support powercommander V for the 2013 year model.
And ZIP-Ty is the only supplier for the 2013 year model !
So i ordered one and they sent me a 2011-12 blackhead PCV
Sent it back and they sent me a 2011-12 blackhead PCV again, same part !!
And they tell me it will work! Sent it back agin.
Not getting though to them this for a 2013 Husqvarna Te310R. Keihin E.F.I. system
Any help on were to go on this does any place else sell this?
Looks like they lost some good help there, and are in some destress.

it is for a 2012 TC 250, which is the first "Redhead" x-lite.

should be part number 23-011

It works and i have it on my TXC. I recommend the autotune to get the benifits of it.

Let me know if you need any more help.

you have to hard wire the crank sensor as the connectors on the TC are different from the TXC, but all else works fine. the instructions say "black" and White connectors, dont ignore this, your TXC only has one anot the other, it is WRONG. You need hard wire the crank input

This to fit a 2013 Husqvarna Te310R RED HEAD and they send me
part number 23-001. That part is to fit 09-11 TE310
I don't think this is a correct part.
Thanks any and all input is wanted.

Yes that is WRONG. You need the 23-011.
But what I'm trying to explain is Zipty isn't selling you anything special.
They are selling you a power commander for a 2012-2013 TC. And just marketing it for a txc or TE since they are very similar.

You can buy the 23-011 from anyone (like ebay) Zipty just loads a map on it. I can send you that map, but I wasn't impressed with the Zipty map. I made my own with auto tune and the bike is so much better.

So the TC model uses the Keihin E.F.I. system ?
And what year and model of bike do you use this on ?
I have got more help here on this site than from ZIP-TY
in the last 8 weeks and a bunch of phone call.

THANK YOU
Dave

The 2012 TC 250 was the first Redhead xlite and has the same fuel Injection as the 13 and 14 TC, TE and TXC.

I am using it on a 2013 TXC.

Power commander sells the 23-011 for the 2012 and 2013 TC 250. This is basically identical to your TE with the exception of a few electronics and connectors, but close enough to use with only one minor change (hardwire the crank sensor input to pcv)

I was the first bike Dynojet had in for the '13. They knew the bikes were changing to KTM in 14 but I explained there were 1.5 years of redheaded stepchildren needing a fix. They did for me but was the one and only install as was not worth their marketing a new kit for an end of run machine. In any case if you have part# questions call Chris at Dynojet. They did use an existing part and what Zip Ty may be doing also. The only issue is wiring it correctly. Dynojet did mine but Tinken did a few others before moving to a new position. A few folks here had installs done with success from Zip Ty so may be a matter of getting a schematic or exact instructions from someone... Hopefully one is checking into the forum on occasion. I posted a could of maps somewhere on here over a year ago.

Just doing a little internet surfing and the prices on these things
swing from $265 to $375 does any one remember were the bought from?

Just downloaded the manual for PCV 23-011
and on page 5 Fig.G shows a plug for the Crank Position Sensor
is this different on the 2013 TE310R ?

Power Commander V 23-011 on order
Any help with maps and hard wiring of the crank sensor input to pcv
would be appreciated.

No help on getting the wiring right but when you get it hooked up can give you links to a sea level and high elevation map I made after dyno tuning at dynojet and dialing in with Autotune. Keep in mind since the maps run on top of your map that is currently on your ECU... Mine are made to run on Map 3 in the ECU.

Cut this off the power commander

Then find the white 2 pin connector and attach the 2 wires from the power commander in parrallel.
