    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

2013 TE310R hour meter and tach ?

I'm not bothered about the hour meter (I don't race mine - just gentle pottering the trails).
I did want a rev counter. Fitting the Trail Tech Tach/Hour meter was simple once the tank was unfortunately, the Trail Tech display just shows how feeble the Husky one is - it can be seen in all lights (when there is light) and from any reasonable angle. The only advantage the Husky display has is the backlighting, but as I don't often ride after dark, it's not much good for me!

For those of us in the UK - get the Trail Tech from the US, it's a lot cheaper, seems to come below the Customs threshold (I didn't get charged) and you can get it in black, which you can't in the UK (or Orange).

don't think it was ever meant to be functional nothing really to fix because it will not work with the new Kehein injection and ignition. 2011 and 2012 had functioning tach and hour meters with the mikuni setups.
 
On the contrary, I believe it was 'meant' to be functional. I say this because they made a point of advertising it for the 2013 bikes.

Are you certain about the 2012 bikes having a functioning hour meter? It's not mentioned in the 2012 owners manual. It does mention a tach, but no hour meter.
 
Quite certain. I have one and it works perfect. Hours, RPM, speed, enduro timer, clock it has many features.
