  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 TE310 Sprockets

I had an Ironman 45 tooth for my 610 that I never installed, so I put that on the 310.

Now I'm looking for a 12 tooth front, so I can gear down for single track and up a little for forest roads etc.

I can't find a 12 t that fits.

Anyone else running one or know where I can get one?

Thanks, I'll give them a call.

I've had two so far from the dealer that have not fit.

Is the 2013 countershaft different than earlier models?

Slight thread hijack:excuseme: Will a 14t fit on a 2012 TE310? I have a 50T rear and 13t CS and thought a 14t CS might be a nice option for open single track and forest access roads. Should help to extend chain life as well. And very easy to swap between a 13 to a 14t without modifying the chain. Putting a 12t on would really be working the motor and causing accelerated chain wear IMHO

I doubt a 14t will fit, it's pretty tight with the stock 13t. If anyone has actually done it please let us know.

You may be right about the chain wear with a 12t, but I'm not sure I understand why that would make the motor work harder than the same ratio obtained with a larger rear sprocket.

I've got a 49 tooth Ironman with about 5 miles on it that I will be putting up for sale in the classifieds. It would be almost the same as dropping a tooth on the front. I found it was not low enough for my needs, so I have a 52 tooth Ironman on order. As soon as the new sprocket gets here, I'll post the old one for sale.

The problem with this idea is that I would have to install a 14t front to gear up. I'm not sure that would work.
