  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 TE310 Rekluse install issue...

I have the Same Problem with schraddering noice i have change everthing but i don't find the Problem . I put red. Springs in Silver i brought the basket from rekluse . But Problem schraddering noice . Can you help me? Its a te 310 Building 2012 and a rekluse Core exp.

Ordered the Rekluse core exp Monday. Did anyone here try using the Rekluse clutch basket too? They tried selling me one but I want to at least try the Husky basket first to see if I have chatter or not. Rekluse states the Huskey baskets are sloppy on the tolerances and move around causing the chatter. I hope my Husky basket was made on a Wednesday... I really don't want to spend another $250 on top of $899:thumbsdown:

So I have had a Rekluse core EXP on order since December 8th and it is still on back order. Anybody know of a retailer that actually has one in stock? I ordered from Motosports and called them yesterday to ask WTF and they say it will be another month minimum. I am seriously starting to question my decision to get one. If it takes this long to get the kit how long will my bike be down when I need replacement parts? Uuuggghh!

motosport.com service is not the best in my experience. I ordered my clutch directly from Rekluse. When I called the guy told me it was in stock. I received it within a week. (I ordered it 11/29). I'd call up rekluse and see if their story matches what motosport is telling you.

Did that last week. Rekluse told me there was no reason that I shouldn't have received the item by now. I sent a request to justgastanks to see if they have one. I may just order direct but they are more expensive to get it direct. Supply in demand I guess.

I just ordered direct. Should be here Wednesday. The wifey got me this for a Christmas present so scrapping the idea of a Rekluse altogether comes with some complexity there. Problem solved;)

Its nice but you(me) suck when using a regular clutch bike after you get accustomed to the rekluse.

Well that may not be an issue since I have other bikes that I ride regularly. Probably a learning curve either way.

Yea I have a back up cr250 I will not give up...b it first the hydro clutch and then the rekluse....takes a few min to warm up on after changing.

Does the new rekluse not come with a new basket? My used one did but I assumed the core did too.

No I think you reuse the basket. Ty mentioned that the stock basket rubbers wear out and can cause the Rekluse to chatter while engaging. Rekluse sells the basket for $250 but you can replace the rubber grommets with a kit that Zipty sells for $120

Interesting...my used exp 1 came with a "new basket"...mabey I got lucky. I don't have and rubber o rings and it does chatter like a mofo. Like the earlier poster though I may need to update my setup, but it feels like its working fine.

I ran a REVLOC in my YZ250 for a couple years, best auto clutch ever. To bad they are out of the clutch business.:(

OK I started the Rekluse install and have my first hurdle to cross. The stock clutch basket shows signs of play and I have some notching starting on the tangs. See the pictures below. I was hoping to go the ZipTy rubber cushion replacement rout but it seems I may be too late. Looks like the replacement Rekluse basket is the only way to go at this point. Any input from an experienced member would be appreciated.

it's hard to tell in the pic but it doesn't look like the notching is too bad. You could smooth it out a bit with a file.

I'm now debating if I should order up the basket before I even tear the brand new bike apart.

Your basket should be good for a season. I have around 58 hours on mine 1400 miles. Quite a bit of tight ST

The notching is pretty pronounced on 2 tangs and on the rest it's just starting to wear into the metal. The one is grooved pretty good which leads me to think there is play in the rubber cushions since the wear isn't uniform. I bit the bullet and ordered a basket already. Good thing it's winter and I'm not in a rush.

Did you get your new basket yet? Curious to see the install pics and report.

UPS says it's out for delivery so if it does show up I will post pictures most likely tomorrow. I may be driving out of state to pick up another bike Sunday so stay tuned for more on that...

The basket came and although I am under the weather I went ahead and drilled the rivets out of the old basket and took some pictures of the progress so far. More to come after I run to the hardware store to buy a 3mm allen socket so I can torque the new bolts per the instructions.
