  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 Husqvarna TC250CR red head test

its alot better than the my10 and 11s Ive ridden, it just feels more alive and free, in oem form I think it makes a great offroad platform (ask the FAR team and World enduro guys) without much modification unlike the more hyperactive big 5 brand 250Fs.
And no its not as sharp/hard hitting as the big 5 brand 250fs, its more "enduro" like, still. But I think most riders will turn faster lap times on this very controllable bike with a great chassis that a hyper 250 with a stiff chassis (pros excluded)
Send it out to a good hot rod shop and it will be right in the pro level mix. example, let ProCircuit go through a TC250R and it will be right in the game.

In the artical they talk about the new head making all the differance on the TC250 (it has the same head as it did in 2012) only the TE and TXC got the 2012 tc "Red" head for 2013. Makes me question the artical a little. Husqvarna did say they updated the EFI for 2013 (Kehin with some tweaks over the 2012 set up) that may be the differance. Same head same pipe as 2012

Again this is just a article in a shiny magazine ...Take it for what ever it is worth and it is good words and a step forward ... I'm ecstatic the reviews are better ...

There will be a day when any excuse for not racing a Husky MXer not will exist ... I'm thinking I'll actually see that day before I'm laid to rest ... Huskies just needs riders!

And seeing a Husky bike at the bottom of the price list looks really weird to me ... :) .. .
