  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Sorry if this has been asked before but I hammered my left footpeg racing on Sunday and bent it pretty good. Aside from spending $200 on some beefy gnarly billet madness, is there anything out there which will fit and somewhat improved the grip surface with out smoking my almost non-existent race budget? I'd love some pics too.
Thanks all!

I've got pivot pegs and really like them. You keep more of you foot on peg when braking and shifting especially when standing.Plus they are a lot more forgiving on my ankles.I use the MK3 which is really wide.Get some!

fastway is the way to go.

I run the Zap Technix YZ foot pegs. They are great pegs and lighter than stock. You will need to file them down a bit to fit into the Husky frame. Scar racing has a similar aluminum peg as well.

dont go for titanium specially of you ride boulder fields, ive heard they snap rather than bend. so save the few race dollars for another set, of if your handy with a welder make a set yourself?

I think Im gonna go with the cheaper billet pegs for the rest of the season and then put on some fastways to start off 2014

I use the Apico items, Your boots feel like they are velcroed to them and the tops are replacable and real cheap should the need ever arrive.
So far they have taken some pretty hard hits and still look pretty unscathed.
