  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 TXC310 Service Manual, Please Help!!!

Is there a workshop/service manual that tells you what the CO's settings, TPS settings and the FB adjustments should be? I have iBeat and it keeps telling me refer to the workshop manual, I have the workshop manual and it tells me nothing about these procedures. I checked a lot of thread and to come up empty-handed. Any help would be appreciated. What do the Husky service shops use? I know how to use it but, I would like to know Husky say these setting should be.

Let the bike warm up before trying to set the CO or TPS settings. The iBeat manual is on the disk you got and will guide you through it. You have to click on the Offline Mode to turn it on.. It will be green when on.. and say Online Mode CO adjustment and TPS are items (boxes) at the top of the screen that you click on. I'd try 110, 106 and 103 as a starting point for the CO 1, 2, 3 numbers. They are changed with the dialog box open and are the equiv of low, middle, and high throttle openings. You can adjust them up or down by tenths. They are set in the Online Mode with the engine running.

Below is word for word from the Manual.

TPS is set with the bike not running but the key on. You will see a dialog box, TPS Idle Adjustment.

Under TPS idle adjustments.
press the Contents button and a TPS idle setting box will appear.

Turn ignition on without starting bike and press the Read button.

Throttle position at 0% throttle will be read.

To set the TPS value in the ECU press the left arrow button

Adjustment value will display the TPS value.

The setting completed, and then the success message will be displayed to the information box.

(These are millivolt numbers, typically around 1020 to 1035 or so. Maybe a little lower and little higher.

Disclaimer of sorts. I have a 2012 TE 310 but I have the TXC ECU and injector and the CO numbers are the ones I ended up with. TPS can vary on each bike. It can change a bit from one check to the next but not necessarily. It is the millivolt reading to the ECU based on the throttle at zero opening. As the throttle opens it sends higher readings to the ECU asking for in turn, more advance and more fuel....something like that...

Thanks, but i know how to do all of that. What i wanna know is what does the husky repair manual say these setting should be and why? If you change the TPS settings higher or lower what effect does it have on the bike. Also the EB adjustment,I know what the CO's do, I also have the JD surge6 but trying to get it tuned with the ECU first without the JD unit. I read the iBeat online manual but, everytime you go to adjust something it said refer to the husky workshop manaul which i have but there is nothing about iBeat.

My TPS reads 967 in both boxes and on my 2011 TE250 it is 846 in both boxes. I have my CO's at 105,107,108
