  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

picked up my 2012 TE310 today!! it's got heaps of stuff from the husky special parts catalogue, like

1, triple clamps
2, bar mounts
3, cold start lever
4, bash plate
5, 47 tooth rear sprocket
6, carbon frame guards
7, alloy fuel cap
8, front axel nut

It also has a full Akrapovic exhaust system, electronic jetting kit and the head has been ported. it also has mark 3 pivot pegs and a gold did x ring chain, and on monday its off to the suspension tuner to get the suspension set up for me. I've also put the rubber air boot from a TC on it
Cant wait to take it for a ride tomorrow!!

Nice Bike! I broke that cold start lever off on my first ride...should not be a plastic part. Is the 2012 special parts catalog out yet?

No need for the 12 port injector and ecu, after having the head ported and the electronic jet kit, plus exhaust system.
This bike makes very similar power as Australian Factory Husqvarna rider Glen Kearneys bike!

By 'electronic jet kit' are you talking about a Power Commander V or JD Power Surge 6x etc?

Again, very nice bike.

P.S. A good Graphics kit would be the icing on the cake IMHO.

The electronic jet kit is very smilar to the JD Power Surge 6x, just a different brand, you can see it at www.electronicjetkit.com
I agree with you about the graphics kit, but having had them before it annoys me when i break a plastic that i have to try and replce the graphics or go without.
 
SWEEEEET BIKE !! I would imagine the porting, pipe and EFI mods gave it a considerable boost powerwise. Have you taken it out to the bush for a little romp yet ?
I'm anxiously and enviously awaiting a ride report. :thumbsup:

Thanks!!.....The porting, pipe and efi mods give the bike a huge boost in power. The owner of the shop where i get my bikes from has done the same to his 2011 TE 310 and his bike is so much more powerfull than stock, most of the power increase is in the low to mid range.

Can't wait to get my bike back from the suspension tuner to take it for it's first ride, ride report will follow
 
Rode a 2012 TXC310 with a PC pipe and iBeat tuning this weekend and it ran perfect and ripped. Fun bike.

Nice bike.. I noticed tires were not on your list. What did your bike come stock with? Wondering if Husky did away with the Karoos?

They come with Michellin enduro comp tyres, which arent that good in the dirt, so i swapped them over for Michellin S12's front and rear with ultra heavy duty tubes.
