  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

2012 SMR 511 Parts fiche.

I'm on the hunt for the parts fiche for the 2012 SMR 511, I think it might come on the USB included with the bike if anyone happens to own one. I can find the '12 manual, workshop manual but no parts fiche.

What I'm chasing (other than the PDF!) are the part#'s for the black plastics, LH and RH sides.

I already have the 2011 TE, TC and SMR fiches and the 2012 TC, TE ones, unfortunately only the '12 SMR has the black plastics, I'm hoping there is a parts list for 'em.
 
I stopped in at a couple of dealers in town and one managed to get the part#'s for the black plastics from the importers internal site. I still wouldn't mind getting my hands on the fiches though the urgency has somewhat dropped now :)
 
They're over double the price of the plain white plastics, I guess because they have the inmould graphics?

MVA and/or Racetech make a full set of TC plastics on plain black which is what I assume the above is.

Anybody know what seat is on this 449/511? I think it was the prototype (grey G450x rocker cover), but the seat looks more flatter/level than my stock saddle. Guessing it would have to be a re-foam/cover jobbie if I wanted to emulate?
