• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 Husky Contingency Program up and running...

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Looks like they are doing this in-house instead of thru XTRM.

I did talk to the lady in charge of the program and she sounded very positive about bringing the racers 'back home' in lieu of having them deal with an outsourced website.

The official info about the payouts, signup and how to report your results are here...

http://www.husqvarna-motorcyclesna.com/contingency.php

I did hit a little snag...the bike is supposed to be in the riders name. If you have a minor racing I think you are supposed to put your name(owner) down and the first contingency request they will put two and two together...

Racer who are sponsored have a form to fill out.

Good luck...

I should have posted this earlier...I had talked to XTRM and they were not sure what was happening, (but neither did Husky) so I did not renew my XTRM account.
Sorry about that...

Let us know how this works...seems like you get to be the tester again...just like suspensions!

You would think XTRM would have let you know...

The new program is NOT through XTRM according to the information I have seen. Not sure how HVNA is managing this but it looks like this is the person to ask ....
email to jenna.parker@husqvarna-motorcyclesna.com.

That's why I said 'in-house instead of thru XTRM' and put a link to Husky contingency page...

I fixed the links in OregonSage's post. In addition, here is a copy of the information from the HVNA site (edit, just noticed the link was already posted):

Where's all the racing reports?? There's a lot of people here that would 'like' to see what everyone around the world is up to...

Whether you sign up for contingency or not...if you officially take it to the line for a flag drop; drop a post in here! Racing is Racing!!

A short note about location, bike, track conditions, whatever... and, of course, how you made out always makes for good Monday reading.

They removed both of my local race series from the program. Bye bye husky...
I reviewed the list for my area and there was some changes, actually added some other series/districts.
I would make a call and also have the dealer in the area contact his rep...they will make changes to the list.
I would think the dealer that covers that area would be real interested in having the contingency.

Give it a try... I think Jenna, the lady in charge of the program, actually answers the phone. 1-951-268-3600

Don't want anyone to go 'bye-bye'...

Have your series promoters or AMA district rep contact Husky and request their series be added. Husky has done that in the past many times.

Never quit.....quitters ride Orange

Ha ha. I've done that the past two years. For some reason, they refused to update the class list. For my series, the classes were 5 years old and outdated.

For the AMA National Hare and Hounds They do not show a 125 class or for ama racing it is 0 to 200 Funny thing is some of the Best in the West races which they do cover run some of the Nationals Must be a oversight might just have to ask at the meeting tonight

I just spoke with Susan at Husky USA. She has added both of my local series back to the contingency program. It was an oversight on their part and got missed. Thanks to Kris and Susan for getting this straightened out!!
