  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc 2011 WR300 Rebuild - Warp 9 wheels, powdercoat, hydraulic clutch

Hopefully the snow melts within the next 2 weeks. Finishing up the bars tomorrow and mounting the tires if I can find my rim strips...

So i've run into a minor snag. Waiting 4 weeks as of now for the ZipTy Racing rear caliper bracket so I can retain the 270mm rotor that came with the warp 9's. Ordered from Hall's but it sounds like ZipTy is backlogged. Was hoping to do a shakedown run this week so she was ready for April.

It is, had misleading info...

I'm still waiting on the caliper bracket after 6 weeks.....Heard they were on backorder and waiting for the miller to finish up the bracket. Hoping to have another update this week and then some final pics!

Update - heard from Halls yesterday. Bracket is at the anodizers and should have it here in 2 weeks....Patiently waiting... Contemplated buying another bike so I could get out and ride.

The bracket finally arrived today. Bike is looking great. Was able to get her back together minus the headlamp. I purchased the 511/449 shroud and headlight. Seems to use a 9003 bulb so I'm looking at how to wire it correctly. Enjoy these crappy pics. Going to ride it tomorrow with some buds for a breakin and then I'll take some decent pictures and post them.

Feels great to be back behind the bars of this bad boy!

Update with better pic. I'll snap a picture next week when the new exhaust comes in. The bike hasn't been running too great with the FMF and P3 guard. Noticeably less low end. Jetted it slightly leaner but that didn't help too much and I don't want to go to lean. The bike was running amazing with the procircuit pipe so I ordered another. Also running a moto seat that's red/black.

Looks sick Rabbi. Im powder coating mine at the moment and never thought of black swingarm. Thats a stealthy look in all black :)
Im running ProCircut pipe with PWK carb and its a great setup for open desert riding.

Wow, great job! And all from your trailer too! I am now wondering on how to do my bike in the future with the graphics etc! I have owned my Italian WR300 for 3 years now, and it is extremely reliable and powerful. I have owned 2 Yamahas, 1 Suzuki, and now this bike, and have to say that it is one of the best bikes to work on. The air box is the easiest to get at in the industry, the motor is as reliable as they come, the brembo brakes are super, and I enjoy the bike alot. I replaced the front headlight with an Acerbis as the factory one breaks when smacked by a tree.
