My '08 144 held together through 8 races with nothing but a new set of tires, regular oil changes, and filter cleanings. There was a 144 "blow up" poll at KTM Talk in '08... If I remember correctly, 70% of '07/'08 144 owners had no issues with their bikes. I think 15% had seized pistons and the rest had other issues not related to the piston/cylinder. STILL... 15% blowup rate is nothing to brag about. I felt fortunate that we've had great luck with our 144 and now our 150. I always ran ours rich, used race gas, and stuck with a 40:1 mix. Some of the owners with melted heads were running 50:1 or greater... not smart on a high performance small bore IMHO.

interesting how internet bleating can push or pull opinions... I had a few ktm'ers tell me to stay away ..

Zokes! Why? At least they look like the 50's. Bigger tank! Looks like the brakes are wave rotors (at least on the back) contrary to the recent mag pics. Hopefully the CR's will get KYB's.

Just got off the phone with Toy Tech. Scott's got 2 in stock as well. The Zokes are the 50's... but I'm still spoiled by the KYB's on our 250's. Carb is still Mikuni.

Bill, you might be able to take a digital pic of the jetting sheet at a fairly high resolution and have it turn out readable... just a thought.

i thought wr had lights and cr had the race plate? this wr has the race plate. does the bike come with both?
