    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I have been riding my 2007 TE 450 for almost 5 years and absolutley love the bike. I originally bought the TE with the thought that I would use it on the street. Well I very rarely do. So I am in the market for a new bike and have been seriously looking at the TXC 449. I have a couple of questions.

In Alberta, where I ride it is the law that all off road bikes must have a headlight and tail light. Has anyone added these to a TXC?

I love the dash I have on my TE. Can you easily add a trailtech viper or a TE dash to a TXC.

I also use a recluse on my husky and love it. Does anyone use a recluse on the TXC ?

Should be no issues putting a headlight on the TXC as it comes with the lighting coil. A Trailtech computer can be added to any bike. No problems there. No autoclutches for the odd 449/511 crank mounted clutches yet but Rekluse tells me they are working on it. More we call and ask for it sooner it would happen. Great bikes BTW and a nice upgrade to you 07.
 
EFM autoclutch says they can modify your clutch if you send it to them, $625. I have emailed back and forth with Rekluse, they said they did not forsee an auto clutch for these bikes any time in the near future. This was in an email I recieved late last week.
 
This clutch is way different as it mounts to the crank end and spins much faster. i would call EFM and see if they know what to do with it.
