  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I just finished reassembly of my 2011 txc. Thought I would share the results with the cafe husky community that made it possible by providing me with a place to learn about my bike and the great vendors who make aftermarket parts for them. My modifications:

Anti seized chain adjusters and radiator shroud bolts
Greased all bearings with bel ray waterproof grease and dielectric all electrical connections
Narrowed bars to 30"
2012 ecu and injector
Fmf power bomb and q4

Zip Ty front axle nut and fuel elbow
7602 radiator guards
Cycra probend crm
LT Racing revalve and respring
Husky carbon midpipe guard
Bikegraphix number plate backgrounds

With any luck I will get to ride this weekend.
Thanks Cafe Husky!

with the ecu and injector upgrade is that something that you just plug in and go or do you have to get it calibrated?

Most likely need to reset the TPS and adjust the low/mid/high CO settings. I've got mine set at 105/105/108 and it seems to run fine. Might need to go richer on the mid and top with a pipe.

Mike-AK is correct I need to reset my TPS and adjust my CO values. Dropped it off at the dealer this morning to have them do it as I do not have I-Beat.

Well the bike came back from the dealer today. My TPS is reset and they gave me some song and dance about having to have the o2 sensor to adjust CO values....

I ran the bike up and down the street and all I can say is wow what a huge difference in bottom end power and smooth roll on power compared to the stock ecu and injector. This has to be the best money I have ever spent on a performance upgrade. Can't wait to get this thing in the woods. Now I just need the 2 feet of snow on the ground in northern MN to melt so I can go ride.
