  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 txc 250 cuts out at throttle tip in?

supershift

Husqvarna
B Class
I had problems with my txc 250 the other day where it would cut out when I tipped into the throttle off of idle. It would not die but would not rev up and would pop out the exhaust. It was raining out that day so I cleaned the throttle position and ect connectors. It seems better now that I let the bike sit but it still does it pretty often. I dont have any way to check fuel pressure but it runs great wide open. It almost seems like the coolant temp sensor or throttle position may be going bad but have no way to check it without a computer. It has been running great and I love the bike. It just sucks since I had to skip a hare scramble tomorrow.Anyone else have a problem like this on a similar bike or have any other ideas of what to check.

Any development on your bike?
I have a 2011 txc 250 that does the same. it's in the shop now as I bleed money.

I put a engine coolant temp sensor on and it seemed to have taken care of it. i need to ride it a little bit more to make sure.Let me know what you get figured out on yours.

Thanks, it did have a coolant temp sensor code. tested the sensor and cleared the code. code didn't return and sensor seemed fine. Full pressure is low (1 bar), erratic, and drops to Zero as soon as you turn bike off. I'm told it's suppose to hold some pressure.

Fuel pump is next. Just deciding what to do: Husky assembly vs. aftermarket (pump only)

Thanks Supershift.
Update here is a new (aftermarket) fuel pump installed last night and it now runs well. I might order another as this one took a week to arrive.

Well I thought I had mine fixed but it is not. Now if it gets wet like after washing it runs bad like a misfire. Im not coming up with a failure mode with ibeat so it may be the coil wire but iM not sure yet. Bad thing is im going to miss another hare scramble if I cant fix it in time.
