• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Here in Australia, Honda is trying similar bling based trickery with the CRF250.

Thanks Klas. It has a little more substance, than our cynical friends from Oz were thinking.

No battery? Surprised it does not have a new slick trick "Super B" battery in it?

Joe,
I think battery endorsement aside... Meo's race TE250 is more TC250 than TE250. With that in mind, the TC's batteryless EFI makes sense on his replica.

Me 2 super B asap! cant seem to lose this michelin man center of mass thing, may as well lose a few in upper mass on the TXC.been sitting like a fence post turtle on this battery thing for a while now,,Ahola and now Meo, with super b count me in.
sorry for the thread curve. my oem battery is is oem from early 08, prob a good move to change soon anyway.

more info up in europe and pictures.. looks about £1000 additional over standard

Don't put us all in the same basket!

The Meo Edition is a celebration - Honda's blinging is to try to move units that are just sitting in the warehouses, gathering dust -Now there's cynicism (but pretty bloody accurate) for you.

I went over to R & D on saturday, to get a really good look at the 310 / 250 (no 449 till January, bummer). There was also a 2010 nearby to compare the frame changes / tanks etc.

If I was in the market for 4t right now, it would be the 310, without a question. Whilst all the hype and ballywho has been about the KTM 350, I really think the 310 IS the one that should be getting the attention. Jewel like, tiny, with a bored And stroked engine (I think a longer stroke that the 350 ktm), to give you totally usable power in an ultra light package.

Their demo was out - hopefully I'll be able to get a ride shortly.

I only hope Husky / BMW do not forget / give up on 2ts - I'd love to see them gazump KTM with the introduction of a new, modern, DFI 2t. I'd be bankrupt in a second.........
