• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Gathering is still on...I say again....Gathering is still on. I do ask due to an unforseen obligation to my Uncle (Sam that is) and Norm attending a medical appointment, that all please try to time their departures so that no one arrives before mid afternoon on Friday the 14th.

Thanks
Joe

Hey Norman,

No sense waiting. Jump a jet and come to Bend. Shoe horm Joe into your luggage while you are at it.

Glad you guys had a good time. Turnout OK? See you in 2 weeks :D

- BTW Vets should fly free, anywhere any time.

I had a great time as well, thanks for putting in the work to host this event. I loved the trails and the track. I got more into that track with every pass. Hope to come back next year. Thanks again, Greg.

It was wet again...
But once we "splashed" alot of the water out of the holes......

Breaking a new 167 kit and chugging through it with ease...

The "follow the Guinea pig" approach was also used all day...( and no...thats NOT the Guy from "Orange County Choppers!)

It was "Husq-tober-fest!" We had to have a "Husq-ko-lantern"
house_jackohusky.jpg

And the KTOOM-O-Lantern" could not "hang tough" and was found later in the woods...very sick from too much adult beverages...(Typical!)

Looks cool here.....fact is .0005 seconds after this picture was snapped...not even the mighty Motoz Enduro S/T's could hold and down I went!

Best for many was getting tips and pointers from Fred Hoess all day. He was never to busy to offer advice and even show a technique. A true ambassador.
joe_fred_chuck.jpg

One turn was just not feeling perfect for me....a little observation and advice...
OK get that leg good...and for petes sake get foward Joe

joe_fred_07.jpg

He "easily" cut inside and I got mental reminder on how to try next time
joe_fred_06.jpg

Got some pointers...tried again...better form...
joe_fred_04.jpg

and later in the day....held the line and pulled my worst KTM-like Manners and blocked for all I was worth! We had switched bikes by then so I could try the TXC 250. Talk about Intimidating....Fred behind you on a 125! Sounded like 1,000 hornets chasing me

Great pictures, Joe!

I'm still sore that I couldn't make it up this year, but I'll do everything I can to make it up next year! Too much fun to stay away.
