• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 GASGAS Two Strokes

wow....I didnt think I was fan of black but that looks really good

When you put it all together...the left over shortie bar is used to smack anyone that gets too close and drools on it

PS I still love my TE 510 and ride her almost every day.

Feels a little smaller than my 08 Husky CR125 and my son's 2010 TC 250. It feels very good to me at 5' 7 1/2" and to my son at 6'. I measured the pegs to seat and the GG has 1/2" more. The seat to bars is close stock but you can put the bars in a second set of holes a little more more forward if you like on the GG. I like how both bikes feel balanced and the transition for both of us was very natural and easy. I can't compare the 250/300 Husky 2-strokes in the ergos, haven't had a chance to ride one at this point.

How do the ergo's compare to the Husky's ?

I have a WR 250 Husky and the GG is definitely tighter. I'm 5'11" but I tend to like a roomy setup. I end up raising the bars on all of my bikes and generally lowering the footpegs and maybe a taller seat. I feel comfortable on the Husky with just raised bars.

I only have one short ride on the GG and am still setting it up. I have raised the bars 15mm and they feel good to me. I would also like to lower the pegs (which also helps raise the relative bar height when standing), but the rear brake pedal won't adjust downward enough for this. I will probably go with a taller seat on the GG before I'm done, to give me more leg room.

I've you're under 5'10 or 5'9, you will probably like the GG ergos. Any taller and you may have to make some adjustments, depending upon what you like.

How does the motor and handleing of the GG compare to the WR Husky?

I haven't ridden the GG enough to know yet. Initially the GG has a stronger low end and midrange, but it doesn't rev well. Could be a jetting issue, but I haven't got that far yet. The Husky has a softer low end and mid range and nice healthy pull on top. Of course we're comparing a GG 300 to WR 250.

With less than an hour on the bike, the suspension isn't broke in or set up yet. I will comment that both bikes seem to turn comparably.
