  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Nice Krieg...******************************************************************************** Rub it in man.... mine is here, #47, but have to wait til next when I get back home from work... happy for you and will be waiting for the first ride report.

Demi, when you say #47, does that mean there's 47 or more in the states? I was led to believe there would be less than 20.

Just got finished taking a spin in the woods behind the house. This thing is gonna be some fun when she's broke-in and dialed-in!!! Sooooo light (like we all know already). The pipe build quality is VASTLY better than my '09 CR 125 and '09 WR 300. Frame geometry is a lot different than the '09 CR as well. Husky must have done some frame tuning since then.

It's waaaay too early to be posting a ride report, but my gut feel is... OMG! I plan to do one more break-in heat run tonight in the woods and then let'r rip Saturday and do some jetting and suspension tweaking.

Oh, yeah, the forks are KYB. I know there was some speculation about that. Mine is KYB with a Sachs shock.

sorry Krieg... that is part of the serial number... the other one in the shop is #50... must be part of the VIN? This is what I was told by my dealer and you are very correct on the numbers... I heard maybe even less.

yeah? could be... I was lead to believe very low numbers, but maybe the U.S. is getting 50 or so? or maybe they are scattered VIN's... we have a unique bike either way and I can't wait to ride it!!! Don't forget your bike prep... I will probably be PM'ing you for info/set-up soon. Enjoy.

Congratulations! That bike looks soooooo goood. Can't wait to hear your hoots of happiness when you get it run in.

Very nice. Looks like updated frame, rotated shock resi, new engine mount, relocated CDI, different frame guards and fat pipe. I might get one of these end of the year if there is still some around.

Yep...those are the numbers I actually heard Bill... under 10 was the word, but I was sworn to secrecy until now!!! Insane...at least Husky won't be deeply discounting these babies...

Bill,

Any reason for producing the low numbers? I realize they are heavily invested in bringing forth the new big bore 4t's but we can't forget all the smoker adicts out here.

I can't speak for Bill, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of the not too long ago managerial issues and being clueless about the American market... my speculation only!!
