G'day guys,
I'm in the process of fitting an IMS tank to my 300. Here's a few photo's of the fuel petcock after I was trying to replace the top filter further down the brass pipe, but obviously got a bit carried away.
How stuffed is that top filter?
Do I need to have it on - what if I run an inline filter prior to the carby? The brass fitting doesn't want to budge any further down.
Also, the stock tank didn't seem to have a petcock o-ring? Either that or I've managed to loose it. IMS didn't include one with the new tank (even though it's listed in the parts list). What are the chances of not needing one?
Other than that minor issue, the tank looks great and seems to slot into place pretty easily - although I haven't tried to bolt everything down yet
