  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 TC/TE/TXC 250 picture thread, lets see them

yep. that was me. I thought Dan said he had another in the back. Dan gave me a nice repeat customer discount. If course by the time I picked out my goodies I paid twice that.

Darkside you shave the stock seat? BTW congrats on your bike.

That's the seat I shaved from my TE 250. The 08, 09,10 share the same seats. Also, the mid pipe guards are the same.

I did however order the Husky low seat. Curious how long that will take to come in from europe.

how small is that engine ! wow ! the 510 has no room whatsoever.. that looks like a 2 stroke !! must turn in like a bmx ! :)

Here are a few pics of my bike, almost done.

I am in Leesburg VA but usually trail ride near Winchester, VA or Berkeley Springs, WV. I tried shooting a video yesterday but was on the wrong settings, 14 inches of snow in most places. Needless to say we did not travel very fast.

Pics

A few random shots. I am still currently building this bike / putting parts on so it is far from done. Some parts already installed that aren't pictured are ASV levers, Renthal Twinwall bars, Renthal bar mounts, Sunline misc. pieces, TM chainblock, Husqvarna step seat, TONS of Ti bolts, Boyesen QS3, Ironman Sprocket w/ Ti bolts, and stainless steel brake line. Still waiting on a couple major items such as the Ohlins TTX shock, complete Husqvarna Hard Parts triple clamps, and a bunch of misc. carbon fiber pieces (along with some custom oversize aluminum radiators that are currently being made). Thought I would share a few though:

Krieg, I hate to tell you but you have your triangle stand on the wrong side of the bike!! Unless you are a southpaw.
It's the right side for the 2010's. The left rear axle hole is about twice the diameter.

I was just kidding with Kreig but now he knows he has a left handed axle.
