Every year for the past 6 years San Diego Adventure riders has put on a two day event in February at the Anza Borrego Desert state park called the Desert Dash. It always gets all the limited entries filled and riders come from as far away as Japan (every year!) to ride it.
We stage the event out of the Butterfield campground on Highway S2 and have scheduled lunch stops for the participants. Each day is there is a 150 mile route to follow with the supplied roll chart. This year, we had some rain and the desert was pretty nice.
This is the first year (7th Annual) that I was able to actually make it down there for the event. I was supposed to be riding with the sweep team on Saturday, but was too out of sorts and out of shape to stick with them, so I ended up catching up with an old friend and we rode part of the course together.
I saw lots of Husqvarnas out there.
Here is the fixed link to the pictures from the event.
