• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I am starting to get pretty pumped for the MXdN in September. Was just thinking of who might be on the team. So who would you guys pic if you were Roger D?

My pics.....hmmm maybe?

1 Dungey... without a doubt
2 Short or Grant
3 Canard... riding really well lately

Not sure if JS7 is qualified to be entered in the event this year because of the rules, but if so, he should be there 4 sure... After RD, I'm not sure who the 3rd should be .... KW looked well this weekend :)

Who is this JS7 you speak of? Ohhh... right. I think I read about him in a history book. You are right about Kdub though, he did look good. If his fitness comes up he would be a cool choice.

Yep... I know what you mean on js7 ...seems like a long time ago he rode ;0) ... maybe KW can finish the year on the podium .... That would be cool!...

I read somewhere that to qualify for the MXdn, you have to ride at least 1 national event and JS has not did this yet ... Not sure if that is true or not ...

RD is the gold standard now ... he must be working his butt off and is in great shape .... And apparently his SUZ is dialed in now :)

Yeah, I'm not sure if there is an actual rule or not regarding this. IMHO you should have to be competing for the outdoor title to even be considered for the team. Representing your country is a huge honor and should go to only those who have earned it all summer long. Talent alone shouldn't be enough to get you on the team.

Yea...this may not be a rule ... As I said , I read it out here somewhere online ... Word was js7 was not even gonna race the outdoors this season till he got hurt and sat out nearly the entire SX season ...

He was hurt and could not ride here till lately .... He's an amercan .... He can ride if possible ... Riding for the country is big but ~everyone sat out the USGP held here as it was not in their contract so the EU guys came over , set the pace ... and went home winners ...

We can win the title again this year and I certainly hope RD sets the ktm crowd straight this time over ...
