• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 Husqvarna Hydraulic Clutch

glangston

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Now uses DOT 4 Brake Fluid. No more hunting around for Mineral Oil.

At least on the 2010 TC 250 I saw at Uptite.

No but I did notice that they have the same red hot start lever. I would think they would be the same. Another thing I noticed in the add of Cycle News, the TXC has the TE forks on it if I am not mistaken. Hard to tell from the photo and it could be just the photo bike being that way. We will know soon enough.

unlike the past where the TXC was based on the TC this years looks based on the TE with the EFI and suspension. Not sure this was a good move but time will tell. Still have not seen the TXC250 I'm supposed to get to test. i think there was a slight delay in shipping.

I can not tell a lie. I was out in the mountains in ca. on my 2004 TE450 my Hyd line came out and lost my oil. The only thing around was wesson cooking oil I bummed from a camper.. Works great.. I think the clutch feel is better. I have been using it in all my bikes for 5 years now.

and ike the KTM dilema of DOT 4 and DOT 4.1 fluid.........one would think "4 and 4.1 are close enough" NOT!
