  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey Guys,
Just picked up a new 2010 Husky CR 125. Are there any aftermarket pipe/silencers available? Do they make much of a power difference? I didn't see any listed on the PC or FMF sites.

I've got a 38mm PWK carb and jd jet kit here.

Any other tips or tricks for this bike?

Rotate the throttle housing housing forward a few degrees so its easier to twist it to 11

I think the FMF system is the easiest for us stateside folks. I'd love a Doma or other 'exotic' pipe, but I kill pipes fast and I'd prefer some cheap and easy replacements.

For as many Husky 125/150's as there are in the states I cannot believe Doma or HGS aren't making a huge push and trying to make some coin. I would :excuseme:

I just put a FMF Fatty on our 10 CR125 and it made a huge difference on how fast the bike revs out. I did have to turn one of the rubber pipe mounts around backwards for the pipe to mount up.

Was that FMF pipe designed for the pre-09' frames?
Or do they have a new one out for the new bikes?

They have one listed for the 2009 WR125, it should work on our CR125's just fine. Not sure on the 2010's.

Item ID: 025145 WR150 2011, WR125 2010 This one is on back order still.
Item ID: 025115 WR125 2009 This one is available, I think Bills had one in stock.

Later,

Parts Unlimited has the 09 and the 10-11 pipes instock. I have one on the way for mine. I am using the Turbinecore on my WR150. You need to get a KTM NOZF needle (#2 pos) . 40 pilot. 175 main. The JD kit didn't have a rich enough needle. Too big on the Main and the Pilot.

Really? I just checked today and PU showed the 10-11 pipe will be available 03/09/11. Shane has had that pipe on back order since October from PU, and at that point it was supposed to be available by the end of October. I would think they would have shipped back orders first. When did you order it?

PU has 3 of the 09 pipes in Nevada...

Later,

I was told this weekend by Jay Hall of Halls Cycles, that there would not be any FMF 150cc pipes as they just weren't any better than the 125 pipe. The 2010-11 125 pipe fits the 2011 150. I have already ordered one as of Monday. The 2009 pipe will not fit the 2010-11 models without breaking.
18201129 Parts Unlimited has 7 instock as of today.

so Dwight... is the Doma 125 pipe better than the stock WR/CR 150 pipe? I called FMF yesterday and the guy said they have 2011 WR150 pipes available... I have my CR coming in and will buy a pipe, maybe as replacement or whatever... is a 144/150 pipe any different than the 125 version? I know Crille 74 has an HGS.. thanks.

Thanks for those part numbers Jake. I think I'm going to pick up that FMF down at Bill's assuming it is for the 09.
Not what I really want, but its gotta be better than the stocker and I need a spark arrestor bad.

What's the deal on the DEP pipes?
Those can be had for about the same cost from ebay as the FMF setup. Anyone using that brand with any success?

Good question, Any word on the DEP pipes. We should get a group together to order new Domas, maybe we can get a group rate from euro.

Haven't a clue about DOMA pipes. The FMF will be more cost effective. I think the 2010-11 125 FMF pipe will be the same as the "150" pipe. I will be surprised if different. Hall's gets pipes direct from FMF and the info I got came from Jay Hall who has been talking with FMF recently. I have my new pipe in hand now. Looks great.
