  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 Hard Parts availability?????

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hello,
Curious if anyone has any insider info as to when parts out of the 2010 Husqvarna Hard Parts catalogue will be available. Items such as the complete black adjustable triple clamps, step seat, exhaust, hot start relocation kit, etc. Nothing in particular, but curious if the parts are even made yet, does US Husqvarna have them their warehouse, are they in customs/still on s boat..... Just curious.

most of the fancy hard parts you are talking about are not in north america and would need to be special ordered from a dealer and then HNA would order them from italy.dan

If the part number shows up in the system of Husky NA then it can be ordered from a dealer. The question still remains how long that takes. I ordered the plastic boot heat shield and have already received it, not sure if it was in the U.S. or Italy. The sticker on those cool black forks are extremely high in my opinion. I am wondering if say an adjustable Pro Circut triple clamp from a Honda CR/F would fit.

I agree, a lot of those Hard Parts are not cheap BUT when (hopefully.....:) ) it will all be paid for using Contingency money throughout the year then.........why not. I'll keep this thread updated when I start seeing some of my items. Thanks for the info!

I just wanted to add that I found that a set of Pro Circuit bar mounts off a KXF (model # BM114) will fit into the stock Husky top triple clamp. I have not tried it yet, but I measured the stock mounts then through communication with PC, figured out what mounts had the same measurements...which the KXF. Thought I would share!

Just curious. Why do you want to swap bar mounts?

If you haven't noticed from my other posts or pics if my last years race bike, I kinda like to add a few aftermarket parts here and there....haha. I figured if I have the complete black clamps, then why stop with the stock bar mounts......:). I actually don't know if I'll go the PC route or do some black BRP mounts so it all matches. No reasoning for switching the bar mounts, simply for looks and to add more aftermarket....it's fun to me. Wait til I get some pics up of this years race bike, TC250...I think you'll be impressed. Have a good one everybody.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
