cool thanks ill let you know how i make out.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
cool in my manual it says castrol so i orederd some of that agip and some castrol cuz that castrol is not easy to find. thanks for the info.
I see them on ebay now then and againAny source for a reusable oil filter?
In the next few weeks I will be buying a 2010 SMR 510 from Heinins, I found them on ebay. Just wondering what parts I need to buy in order to do the power up myself. Is it worth doing it myself? I have not asked how much they will charge me to do it. Thanks for the help!!!
Raphael It is not the same as the TE,it is not as tall because of the 17 inch rear tire in stead of the 18 inch rear of the TE which is ok with me,the suspension is pure SMR it is a lot stiffer than the TE, I use the 320mm front rotor from the SMR on the 21 inch front wheel my goal was not to make a TE but just to have a wheel set up that I could use off road cause the sumo off road is very limited, but since 95% of my riding is on the street in my book the SMR is the only way to go,so for my little adventures off road I just pull the axles and slide the knobbys in and go, then when I get back it is back to my Super Moto set up the wheels are a stock 2008 SMR rear that I got off SMJ from Juse hall with a Karroo 150/70/17 tireHi guys, I need some help from you tech 3, did you make 2 new wheels to go dirt or use the SM wheels? I'd like to make 2 sets of wheels to go dirt sometimes. Is the bike setup the same in TE510? Thanks for help!
