  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 2009 wr 125 forks needed!!!

B Class
Hello everyone, first post on huskycafe. I bought a 2009 wr 125 that had a leaky fork seal. Figured fork seals would be easy fix. Sent my shock to Pro Tune, and he found my chrome tube has a gauge running about 3/4 length of tube.

So does anyone have a forks I can buy? part out bike or just stock spares?? I dont wanna spend a fortune but I need to get the thing going.

I am assuming this is a "where can I find" question, but if you wanted to put up a Wanted To Buy ad - you could do that in the classifieds.
http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/classifieds.27/

For sale/wanted ads are inherently time sensitive (ephemeral) - and many years from now someone will hit the "Contact Us" button, which will generate an email which I will get asking "is this item from 4 years ago still for sale?" or "I have the fork tubes he was looking for, how can I get in touch with him? They have not logged in for 7 years…" Those types of situations are frustrating for everyone..

Thank you for clarifying thread location.
Correct I need 50 mm. Is there any other bikes that have 50mm that will work?

So where can one find this classified section you speak of.

The 09 WR250-300 have the 50mm Zokes as well. My 250 came with 4.5 springs and I switched them to 4.8. I think the 125s had a lighter spring then the 250 so you might keep that in mind if your lucky enough to need 4.5s and can find some off a 250-300

I have a spare set of the twin chamber 50's off an 09 CR125 that have been re-valved for me and are brand new take offs with less than 5 hours on them. I am not going to give them away though. I have $1000+ in them already. But if you are in a complete bind you know where they are at. You can also look for any set of KYB's off the later 125's and get the triple clamps too and they will bolt right up.

Contact Gary's Grinding in southern California if you want a great rechrome (it will be better than OEM and will slide better, too). Or contact Motoxotica and see if Dan has any takeoff forks for sale.

rechrome costs coupla hundred bucks tops-ez fix. had a rock smash my fork guard & chip chrome causing leaking seals. send slider off for repair piece of cake

Thanks for explain to me rather than call in my stupid lol. How long until I get privileges to post there?

I do not understand. I edited the word in bold which is what I think you meant. (there is an edit button if you wanted to edit a post you made if you wanted)

There are an almost unlimited number of websites, all of which operate differently… because someone is new to a site like this one, has absolutely no bearing on a persons knowledge or any other aspect of a person.

I checked your account and you are 100% good to go, feel free to put up any ad you want in the classifieds - yes all ads need approval but that will happen soon enough.

Thank you very much. I was trying to reply to a thread but it was user error :).

I think rechroming is going to be the answer if i don't find a used set in next couple days.

Can a scratch be to deep to get rechromed?
