  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2009 TE310 FORK BUSHINGS

Was wondering if anybody has had any luck sourcing fork bushing . Bought a set of SKF seals from JBI suspensions and he was out of stock and unable to get them from Marzz . Seems the only ones are from Halls at 80.00 a side .

I've not found any other than the OEM stuff. I recall paying $80 for a set to do both forks, though (from Halls).

Thanks Phoenix , the bike only has 600 miles on it when I pulled the seals and the bushings didn't show any signs of wear . Putting the new seals in and will see if they stop leaking .

Last time i bought seals and bushings i got them from marzocchi fork co. direct. phone # 1 257 6630. They had everything in stock and you could buy just one side.

racetech sells them too (I haven't bought from them though) they are listed at 35$ for an inner set or an outer set, so they are ballpark with OEM from Halls.

600 miles would be very premature failure for bushings- if they don't show visible wear on the surface they should be just fine.

Only thing that stopped my forks from leaking were Synergy seals and fork savers. I would go thru a seal (left side first then right) every 200 miles. Bushings were good, alignment of axle was good and no dirt in seal.

I put the new seals and dust seals in ,took a short road ride all seem ok . Will find out this Sat how they hold up as a long rocky ride is on the menu .
