• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

i bought the plug and resistor and a leo vince pipe.

first, the pipe is loud(er). i dont know how loud at all ranges etc.... as i only ran up and down my street. the bike pulls MUCH harder imo, in 1st, second...... thats seat-of-the pants.....

BUT i let my buddy ride it monday for about 30 miles of our 250+ we rode... he agrees on loud, and power.

We are importing and distributing the Barrett muffler (under our own name) and I'm running one on my carburated 610. WAY more power and almost as quiet as stock with is very impressive given the outlet hole is twice as big. Guys who ride with me say it sounds VERY nice and not offensive. Were working on USFS spark arrestor approval now. Just another option and i realize there are some really good pipes on the market now like yours.

Oh, i did not realize you were unhappy with yours being to loud. I have heard great things about those pipes.

Are you using te quite insert? I don't find mine offensive at all, in some situations its' actually quiter than stock. Of course when you're on the throttle hard it has a pretty aggresive bark.

lol, im not happy, or unhappy. i have 200 yards on the pipe, in a residential neighborhood. my two buddies have 200 yards too. i dont think it breaks in at 600 yards, lol!

ill follow up in a few days. ill run it, and if i hate it, then ill look around..... then again, i dont know much about the inserts or spark junk. so i dont know whats in it, dont know if the spark junk will help/hurt.....

you know kelly, i dont think i know much.....

That's a great lookin' can. Do you have a price point for it yet?

I'm thinking about doing a can instead of the stock one to see if I can clean up the jetting issue. My pilot change didn't help much. I'll probably have to get it on a dyno to see what the deal is...but, a freer flowing exhaust would probably help.

I have a Barrett/Motosports pipe fitted to me 09 TE610. Looks sweet, has a nice deep note but is no louder than the stocker and the bike can now breath.

This is my second Barrett I previously had one fitted to my DRZ400E, top quality gear.

Jason Barrett is also a big Husky fan and he can ride. A short vid of Jason on his TE449.

Kelly,

I'm unable to send a pm regarding this pipe. I looked on your website and I can't seem to find any info on it. I'm interested in color options & pricing for an '09 SM610.

Thanks,

Eric
