• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hello all.
just a quick question.
I find myself struggling to change rear wheel bearings on my 2007 te510.
i am just not sure if i need a special tool or it can be really this hard.
I run a teraflex tire in the sand, so not much life from the bearings, like 3500 miles.
Hey drop me any info or help on changing them, for some reason i just find it a chore, that i am not completing properly.
Thanks gang.

I haven't changed mine yet, but I think I will be taking the single side (brake side) out first, and then having a more direct shot at the double side, the sprocket side, you have 2 bearings on the sprocket side as well, right?

Yes a 63005rs and two 6005 2rs on my bike.
Its not so bad, just was looking for a better way.
I really fumble with them like somehow i not doing it right.
I am very mechanical and also critical.
Kinda use a socket to force them out or even a small rod of some making.
Install is much ease yer.

The two 6005 bearings out of my bike were 6005 2RS C3. The C3 means they have more clearance than a standard 6005 bearing.

Hey thanks all, got it done again this past weekend.
Sand is the culprit for my bearings going bad.
gets in it all.
Well keep the handle bar side up.
