  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2007 Husqy tc 510

Husqvarna
So I'm new to the brand, but not to dirt bikes in general. I'e come across what seems to be a great deal on a 2007 tc510, however i'm finding ti difficult to find info, parts, reviews of this model. The bike seems sound, needs the usual things, tires, chain, sprockets.... It has an aftermarket tank on it, big, natural colour. will need new plastics, and what seems to be a hard find, a left side rad.

The rear suspension is soft, real soft, sags under any weight. I realize this is probably just a function of preload, or a soft spring, but I have no experience with Ohlins rear shocks, any help? Or any experience with Marzo forks either, except on sleds and mountain bikes.

I'd like to do a complete rebuild on it, is there anything I should be looking for? Anything specific to husky or this specific model. The wheels seem true, forks are straight, runs well. I didn't get a chance to ride it, due to a couple feet of snow on the ground.

I'm stoked on how these bikes look, my goal would be a good running trail bike, lights up front, something I can chug along to do some exploring with

Any ideas about putting a light kit on it, maybe even making it street legal? In Canada.

Any direction would be beneficial,
Cheers, Leigh

Search thru the site.
Call Ross Rocher Sales, talk with Scotty or Rob and they'll hook you up with parts and advice.
As for rebuild; piston, rings, cylinder overhaul, new conrod and bearings, new tranny and crank bearings.
Rocher even rebuilds your suspension, or you can try LT Racing (all site supporters).
Good luck.

You can find used parts in the classified section here and on www.supermotojunkie.com

Parts fiches available on www.husqvarnaoutlet.com

As for lights, You can get new or used parts from a TE model and put them on your bike. Your stator may already be lit up for lights, but you'll definitely need a wiring harness, headlight, handle bar switch for the lights, and the regulator/rectifier
