• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2006 TE610 Footpeg Crossover

I have heard that the foot pegs for a KX100 will work on a TE610. Does anyone know what year KX100? If that is correct does that mean if I were to buy some after market foot pegs that are for the KX100 - they too should work? I'm asking because I would like to buy the Moose Racing HyBrid with the 1/2" rear offset. Would give me a better platform and also solve the problem of the left side peg being a little to close to the shifter for use guys with larger boots (size 12).

Appreciate any thoughts and input regarding this -

Thanks - buenodude

Get the pivot pegz! You will love them! Trust me, I've got a size 13 us or 48 uk.
Thank you for the response 1lunger - I appreciate the info, always good. Unfortunately, those are out of my price range. Would still like to get an answer to the question I asked. Odd, I ride with a lot of older guys (multiple day stuff), 200 to 300 mile days - primarily dirt. Lot of old single-trackers that are moving to "Adventure" riding. Not one of these guys has ever bought a pair. Maybe I'm (were) just old.

Hammerhead makes extensions and I think 25mm is available. I cut my shifter and welded a 25mm piece in.
The foot pegs from the other Husky models are much wider and will work on the 610, but a little grinding on the left side stop is required.

Thanks for the info Xcuvator, but still haven't gotten an answer to my original question regarding the KX100 footpegs.

Thanks for the info Xcuvator, but still haven't gotten an answer to my original question regarding the KX100 footpegs.

The 610 pegs are very narrow. Even if the KX 100 pegs fit, the best you can hope for in the lowered position is the same or very close to what you have now. That is why I mentioned the Hammerhead extension or lengthening the stock shifter.
