Hey guys, new to the forums and new to Husqvarnas. Im hoping some of you can share your knowledge with me. I just picked up a 2006 Husqvarna 610 sm. It has just over 3500 miles. I bought it private party from a guy who seemed to be a straight shooter. He rode the bike to the meeting place and it was running fine. I had started it up and ran it 3 or 4 times before i loaded it into my truck. I unloaded into my garage today, and started it up once more - with no problems. After sitting for maybe 2 hours i went to go for a ride and when i turn the ket, i get nothing. No dash lights no head lights / horn. Nothing at all. the guy said it has a new lifetime battery from cycle gear but i figured i should try to jump it anyways... once again nothing. No lights on the display even when the jumpers were attached to my truck. Im a newbie to this machine so if anyone has any ideas please share them! thanks in advance, Brandon.

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

2006 Husky 610 sm electrical problem?

Not something stupid like the Electric cut out switch on the right hand switch gear ?
Either that or take the plastics off the bike and check the electrics, the wires can be prone to wearing through at the back near the subframe.
Also if not secure properly at the front of the bike they can melt against the exhaust headers.
Disconnect the Clocks on the bike and leave it for a while, plug them back in (Can reset the clocks, these are buggy and people tend to replace with Veypor etc..)
Failing those bits of advice I would grab a multimeter and see what actually gets a current as it could be a fuse that has blown.

I was changing a headlight bulb (trail tech X2) on my 06 sm610, shorted the wires and blew a fuse, but I can't find it. No power to the speedo either. I took the LH side cover off and found a 15amp fuse (turn signals and brake lights) and a spare. There is also a long black oval looking plug (about 2" long to the left of the fuse) that reads 6 volts on it. When unplugged it shows 3 pins inside. Could that be the headlight fuse. I never saw anything like it before.
