  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Well, it's coming along. Now allI need is some time to finish it. Having an ossue with the Cemoto tank shrouds- the right side will not work on the IMS tank. The stockers bolt up fine, so it is not the tank, although the Cemoto shrouds could be made to fit on the stock tank with a little massaging. Not sure what to do here as I need the IMS tank, but don't want yellow shrouds.

I made my Cemoto shrouds work on my ISM tank but it is not pretty. Maybe UFO makes some? Ask Bills.

This is the final rendition for the graphics. The silver in the graphics should match the silver on the frame.. I like the Motosportz logo ;)

The plastics I am using are from a 2005 model like the one pictured here, with the exception of the front fender which will be from a TC449. The side panels are a one-year-only deal from 2005. I like them because they make the bike look like less of a banana. Front and rear fenders are white and the shrouds and side panels are black, although you won't see much of that color because of the graphics. The bike in the post above is the same way. 22009_0_1_2_cr 125_Image credits - Husqvarna.jpg

I can't stand it when guys never clean their bikes. The previous owner was such a person and left mung on an otherwise almost pristine low hour bike. As such, the spokes were corroded and the steel wool trick didn't work to my satisfaction. Today my new stainless spokes and blue anodized nipples are getting laced up to the stock Excel rims. Woop! Woop! Pictures tonight...

Haven't had much time to work on my project as I have been out of town on business a lot lately. Had a chance to do a little more tonight though. Kinda like the black and white combo although when the graphics are on you will see very little black. 2005 side panels were a good choice as they have sharper lines than 2004 and blend a little better with the angular front fender. Same with the rear fender.

Pretty disappointed with the IMS tank. As with my past experience with IMS, the quality is lacking and the fitment is hit or miss. The shrouds will not bolt up correctly on this one so......I will be using the stock tank and carrying a couple of MSR bottles in my pack. I believe fit and finish is important and I don't understand why a lot of aftermarket manufacturers set the bar so low.

Hope to get a little more done tomorrow.

Any idea how many miles to stock tank with a 165 and Lectron?

What all is involved with 05 plastics on the 04? I remember my 05 tc250 plastics looking much better than my 04 cr125 i just got. Really dont care for.the shrouds or rear fender on the 04

No option for different radiator shrouds for the 04. Only one other option for the side panels- 05, the one year wonder. The newer rear fenders bolt right up.

Okay so 05 side panels and rear fender is the plan. Thats enough really. The shrouds are okay other than how.they grab my knees in corners i dont know if anyone else has that problem, first time I've ever had it happen on any bike.
