  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2 Trick Questions for 449/511 owners

Rearwheelin

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Can you guess what has been permanently relocated, hidden from view and why ?
Any idea what the can is going to be ? Hint: not a breather box or a radiator reservoir.

This is the beginning of my TE 511 adventure bike build

Ok Rear, cancel your subscription to late night cable shopping, put down the Bud, either liquid or plant, you pick, and come back to Earth! :censored:

That thing is going to last all of three seconds. Right before it self destructs, its going to smack you in the back of your noggin in the whoops just to let you know it was fun while it lasted.

Baahaaha ! Thats a good one lol....

No smokey anything the DOT tests for and no bombing whoops pulling a trailer. From what I have been reading they pull nicely , but not hear to promote the trailer . Here to build a two wheeled motorhome that converts back into a Dusy Ershim trail blazer :) the bike will go put put down ruff trails . Be kind of neat to go moto camping with my two boys when they are old enough to ride . I can also go on solo vacations on the husky during the work week from time to time .

So what does the cannister added to your bike have to do with the trailer?
Before OlderHuskyRider gave me the hot water idea it was going to be a fresh oil can . Be cool to ad oil to your engine on the go by opening a small valve , maybe another valve to dump oil on the chain... Guess I could spray a whole bottle of chain wax in the can . I'm very particular about oiling the chain.
