• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 2 stroke vs 4 stroke

Get the TC250, it has the more aggressive ignition, stiffer suspension, its lighter, cheaper, faster.
Then put the 300 kit on it. If you need more you can add a bigger carb or have stocker bored.
If thats not enough you should have gotten the 501 and done a 570 kit!

Well I'm really a two stroke guy, but don't all of the typical KTM mods work for the FE's.

I'm sure they do. Didn't know they had that kit. The 501 already sounds like an awesome bike but a 570 would make it that much better :). I think I'd still rather have a husky TC300 though :).

Well I was wrong, there is not a 570 kit... it is now a 588 :D 102mm piston!
And if you feel you need to sand blast something from 100' feet away there is a 610,
but the 610 needs the cases bored to accept the bigger sleeve.
Back to topic, this is whats needed to out accelerate a good running 300 2 stroke.

We need a new thread :)

Hey Timmy, no BS I've been using it alot longer than a year!
Maybe a moderator can clear this up!
And yes I'm flattered.

Flyin's avatar has a little less bike and a little more lady.

Big Timmy's avatar has a little more bike and a little less lady.

If you guys can stop being distracted by the cheekiness of the pic you will see there is a difference. :D

Ha ha this is funny!
The burn would be on her right inner thigh.
I noticed he was using the same avatar as I was, I really didn't care.
But when he accused me of copying him I had to correct him.
No harm, no foul
Oh and BTW back to topic,
I just recut the 300SX head on my brothers 300/250SX he thinks it might have something for the 570 now.

FC450 or 501, but the 450 is more like a snappy two stroke. It has a light piston and a short crank. The 501 has a much bigger crankshaft and stroke which makes more like a tractor. I like the 300,we will be racing it next ear, but the sand eats hp. So for me it would be a bigger bike.
